New Core Function Added to Outlook2CRM - Leads!

We're quickly approaching a public beta phase for Outlook2CRM and I wanted to make sure I added the last remaining core function of the base Outlook2CRM toolbar - support for leads for SalesLogix 7 systems! Now you can easily create a new lead from an e-mail and even include files attached to the e-mail as attachments on the lead record in SalesLogix!

Of course, the SalesLogix feature for leads only exists in version 7 and higher, so systems with Outlook2CRM will get the following message if used on an earlier version (pre-version 7):

Since Outlook2CRM is fully customizable, the leads button can easily be removed from the Outlook2CRM toolbar (until you upgrade to version 7, then just add it back!)

As this seems to be a replacemsnt and improvement on the Ticket Addin I have seen in this blog I would be interested to trial in our company we are just under 10 people but will be upgrading to SLX V7 next week from 6.2. We use Sales and support (ticketing) modules and it would be good to try for Leads and tickets.

We are in UK

Let me know

Also, when it will be officially released and price for small business.

tks

Hi Mark,

I'll add you to the list to notify when we get closer to release. The biggest difference with this and the Outlook Ticket Addin is the customizability. It comes with more than you'd need OOTB, but the ability to make it do whatever, and customize the integration to match up exactly with the processes and customization you've built into SLX is what makes it really nice IMO.

Thanks.

Ryan,

I got your Ticket Addon for my previous employer.  I love this.  I only wish we weren't using Lotus Notes at my current employer.  This would be a POWERFUL tool.  Notes integration it pretty weak. <sigh>

Thanks for the feedback Marc! Yeah, I've not been a fan of Lotus notes, so don't hold your breath for any notes integration from us :-p
